Kithav Emergency

When it matters most, they won't be alone.

Kithav Emergency surrounds your parent with a trained circle of neighbours as buddies, together with their family and the Kithav community, for all possible, timely support.

How it works

  1. Your parent's CircleTwo or three trusted neighbours, their family, and the Kithav team
  2. The Kithav Emergency CardMedical details, medicines, preferred hospital and key contacts, kept at home and with us; checked by our doctor
  3. A private emergency numberGiven only to registered members and their Circle
  4. When they callWe answer, alert the Circle so a neighbour can reach them, share their card with the ambulance or hospital, and keep you informed until they are in care
  5. AfterwardsWe follow up with them and with you

Our promise to registered members

  • Answer your call, or call back quickly, day and night
  • Alert your Circle of neighbours and family to reach you
  • Share your Emergency Card with the ambulance or hospital
  • Help arrange a doctor's call, a driver or transport
  • Keep your family informed, and follow up afterwards

Please know

  • In a life-threatening emergency, always call 108 or 112 first. Kithav works alongside them, not instead of them
  • We are not an ambulance, hospital or medical service, and we cannot promise an arrival time

Questions

Why isn't the emergency number on the website?

So that every call on it comes from someone we know and have prepared for. That's what lets us answer fast, day and night.

My parent isn't registered yet. Can they still call you?

Please call 108 or 112. Until registration is complete, we don't have their card or Circle and can't respond safely.

Who sees my parent's medical details?

Only the Kithav on-call team, our doctor and, when needed, the treating hospital.
